What’s New in Octopus Garden
Come and see Queenie our Giant Pacific Octopus as she plays around in her tank. She just loves swimming around her tank and crawling along the glass – you can get a really good look at her tentacles from there!
Phil, our Common Octopus, has three different vases he likes to sleep in throughout the day – he starts the day in the bottom vase and moves up throughout the day and ends the day in his top vase.
There’s also tiny baby Mud Octopus who spends her time resting in her favourite shell.
You can also see the Octopus’s cousins, Cuttlefish who are really good at camouflaging into their environment. Can you find them hiding in their tank?
Don’t miss the Nautiluses floating around their tank – they are descendants of Nautilus who have been on the planet for the last 250 million years! Although they might look similar to hermit crabs they are actually a type of Octopus.
