For 4 Persons you need
1 cheese grater
1 large mixing bowl
1 pint (half litre) saucepan
2pint (1 litre size glass dish)
A wooden spoon
Electric or hand whisk
1 microwave proof dish (optional)
1 large packet of digestive biscuits
2ozs of butter
1 extremely large bar of dark chocolate
1 pint of double cream
3 tablespoons natural honey
2 heaped dessertspoons of good quality cocoa powder
2 500gm tubs of chocolate yoghurt (optional)
1oz each orange and lemon peel (optional)

What you do

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan
  • Crush the digestive biscuits in a bowl
  • Add the crushed biscuits & the honey to the butter and mix with the wooden spoon.
  • Remove about 2ozs of the chocolate from the main bar and put it to one side. Melt the rest of the chocolate carefully in the saucepan or microwave it (take care not overheat) it should be quite runny but not boiling or burnt.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the crumb base
  • Clean the bowl scrupulously or use another to pour the cream into and whip it to a peak.
  • Carefully fold in the chocolate yoghurt and the cocoa powder then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Ensuring the chocolate is cooled turnout the cream and yoghurt mixture onto the crumb and chocolate base.
  • Grate the remaining dark chocolate and the orange & lemon rind over the top of the dish prior to serving.
