Chicken and Mushroom Pizza

To serve 4 - 6 People you need
For the base:
6ozs (168g) self raising flour
salt and pepper
1oz 28g margarine
6 tablespoons milk
For the topping:
½oz (14g) margarine
1 onion finely chopped
7ozs (198g) chicken chunks
1 small tin condensed mushroom soup
7oz (198g) tin of plum tomatoes (or chopped if you prefer)
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
½ green pepper finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
3ozs (84g) grated parmesan cheese (or available alternative but should be mature)

What you do is:

  • Place flour and salt into a bowl.
  • Rub in the margarine add the milk to make a dough.
  • Roll out the dough into roughly 9inch/228mm circles and place them on a baking tray.
  • Fry the onions in a little oil until soft.
  • Add the chicken, tomatoes herbs, mushroom soup a little water (¼pt/125ml) the herbs and seasoning and heat thoroughly.
  • Spread the topping over the dough and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake at 180°C on the bottom shelf until golden brown (30 -35 Minutes).
