Lacerta was created in the 17th Century by Johannes Hevelius.

It is a small distinct constellation that lies half over the Milky Way. Therefore you should be able to find some interesting objects with a 6 inch telescope or greater, particularly open clusters NGC 7243, and NGC 7209.
