Supposedly this dragon guarded the Golden Apple trees in the garden of Hespiredes.

Draco is one of the largest constellations but does not contain a huge amount of interesting objects.

There is NGC 6543, a blue-green Planetary Nebula at 9th magnitude. A 6 inch telescope should give a reasonable view.

If you have an 8 inch or greater telescope you should be able to find at least 3 galaxies, NGC 6503, NGC5907 and NGC 5866.
